  • Gandhinagar. As many as 3000 tests have been done in the last 24 hours in the state, out of which 217 positive cases of corona have been reported and 79 patients have recovered. While 9 have died. Thus the total number of patients in the state is 2624. Of these, 112 have died and 258 patients have recovered.



Of the 217 new cases, 151 were in Ahmedabad, 41 in Surat, 7 in Vadodara, 3 in Anand, 2 in Botad, 5 in Bharuch, 2 in Kheda and one each in Aravalli, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, Panchmahal, Valsad and Dang.

"Corona positive cases have come up in 13 districts today," said Jayanti Ravi, frontline health secretary. 3000 tests have been done in the last 24 hours and out of them 217 cases have come positive. It does not matter where Gujarat is statistically. 150 ventilators became available in the state today. While 80 per cent of the cases are reported in the hotspot area. Urban area industries with export orders will start from April 25

It has been decided to start industries from April 25 which have export orders in the city but are outside the containment area, for which all district collectors will have to apply, Chief Minister's Secretary Ashwini Kumar said.

No reduction in Tests: Jayanti Ravi

3 thousand tests are done every day in the state. No reduction was made in the test. The same tests will be done as before. Out of 3000 tests per day, 2500 tests will be done in different areas while 500 tests will be done among the quarantined people. Of the 67 patients who died, 60 were suffering from the disease. Serious illnesses such as diabetes and TB lower the immune system. People with serious illness need to be extra careful. The elderly and children are not allowed to go out, said Jayanti Ravi, the frontline health secretary. 400 students from Gujarat from Kota in Rajasthan reached Shamlaji. From there these students have left Shamlaji to Ahmedabad by 15 buses.
