Is a white spot on your face the cause of a sunburn, or something else?

Is a white spot on your face the cause of a sunburn, or something else?

The most worrying concerns of a people in India and the Indian subcontinent are related to a white or yellowish lesions of a skin diseases. Clinically similar disorders commonly seen in a  children include vitiligo, pityriasis alba (PA), and polymorphic lucite (PLE). Although it has been a suggested that atopic dermatitis is the source of a pityriasis alba, its exact cause is a uncertain. In addition to a being red, pink, or white in a colour, the lesions might be a circular, oval, or irregular in shape. Usually, on the face and arms, many patches may be a  seen at once. From a few months to over a year, the rash's length can a vary. Multiple lesions may occur.

The lesions are obvious on those with darker skin. Patients with lighter skin will notice the rash more frequently during the summer months as their skin tans. Young children are most often affected but a pityriasis alba tends to go a   away with time. The loss of a pigment here unlike vitiligo is a not permanent and recovers with time.

Cure - Pityriasis alba can sometimes resolve on its own without the need for medication. To keep moisture in the skin, a moisturiser cream or lotion may be advised. To minimise inflammation and discomfort, a low-dose topical corticosteroid may also be recommended.

The polymorphic light eruption is a typical post-inflammatory syndrome that most frequently affects parts of the body that are exposed to light, such as the forearms and nape of the neck. When it resolves, the skin may appear a little white in the spots. The patches are unstructured, lack distinct edges, and have very light brown colouring. It is a postponed hypersensitive reaction to UV radiation and occasionally to visible light as well.

Cure - They come back every summer, and using steroid creams for a prolonged period of time to reduce the redness can sometimes leave skin with white blotches.

Vitiligo is primarily distinguished from congenital skin lesions by acquired, well-defined, depigmented small to large patches on the skin, the wet areas like the mouth, genitals, and/or white hair. Numerous autoimmune illnesses are usually linked to it. The most frequent connection among kids is Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

It has an incidence rate of 0.1 per cent to 2 per cent and occurs everywhere. The quality of life for those who suffer from vitiligo is significantly impacted by this serious skin condition. Although the exact causes of this syndrome are unknown, it appears that genetic, immunological, and neurological factors interact to cause it.

Cure - The therapy of vitiligo includes educating and reassuring young patients and their parents about the disease, thyroid testing, avoiding trigger factors, topical medication, and proper follow-up. By using self-tanning dyes and camouflage gear, one can improve their appearance. Although unpredictable, vitiligo frequently progresses over time. Iranian commanders said, “the guidance system of this missile is such that it communicates with several satellites every second and immediately corrects its course. Also, this missile is fired with a six-projectile launcher and is a rocket; long-range, accurate, and strategic.”

The Fath 360 has a diameter of 30 centimeters, a weight range of 850-1,100 kilograms, a warhead of 150 kilograms, and a range of 75 kilometers. It is four meters long. It could be deployed on a truck-based launcher because of its lightweight and relatively small dimensions, with six, four, or two-round launch canisters available.

The Iranian Army Ground Force established a missile unit in February and announced plans to update existing gear and add new equipment suited for quick-response operations.

Iran has made significant progress in manufacturing a diverse range of indigenous weaponry in recent years. This even allows their armed forces to be self-sufficient in the armaments sphere.

The country has particularly made tremendous progress in the drone industry, to the point where it has recently exported drones to Russia to aid it in its battle in Ukraine. These drones are currently demonstrating their  ability in combat.

Iranian drones are small and fly at a low altitude, which makes it difficult for Ukrainian air  protection systems to spot them.

A Ukrainian artillery commander  disclose that Iranian drones had damaged two BTR armored infantry vehicles, two 122 mm self-propelled howitzers, and two 152 mm self-propelled howitzers in the brigade’s operational area alone.

Tired Putin Hints At Ending The Ukraine War; West-Backed Zelensky Is Not Interested, Can India Be The Interlocutor?

Tired Putin Hints At Ending The Ukraine War; West-Backed Zelensky Is Not Interested, Can India Be The Interlocutor?

In other words, he meant that if the NATO members became overwhelmingly strong to punish the Russian fighting force, Moscow would be left with only nuclear options, which meant the Third World War.

It has to be remembered that only recently have Ukrainian troops been able to push back the Russians and recapture large chunks of land in Eastern Ukraine.

The western countries have showered the Ukrainian troops with praises. Additionally, President Biden announced a package of 600 million dollars to Ukraine to refurbish its resistance forces with more sophisticated and lethal weapons.

It will be recalled that only a day or two after the conclusion of the Samarkand Summit, President Biden warned Russia not to think of using chemical and biological weapons in the ongoing war with Ukraine.

Evidently, the American intelligence agencies have made a deep probing into Russia’s future plans for the war.

If Ukraine can sustain its resistance to the Russian offensive, it is likely to have a bearing on the situation in Taiwan. It will serve as a booster to the US to accelerate the anti-China agenda among the pro-American chapters in Taiwan.

The Third World War scenario would mean the decisive battles in the Indian Ocean or the Chinese Sea. This does not augur well for China in the overall situation prevailing in that part of Asia.

These are genuine and pragmatic concerns for China, and she has conveyed them to Putin at a crucial meeting in Samarkand.

In the second instance, the remarks of PM Modi in the course of his bilateral sideline meeting with Putin in the context of the Ukrainian conflict are also highly significant.

Russia is a close friend of India, and their friendly relations have survived many vicissitudes of history. The west has always associated India with the impact of socialist ideology and closeness to Russia.

But the history of Russian and Indian cooperation notwithstanding, Modi very frankly spoke the meaningful sentence to Putin. He said, “This is not the era of war but dialogue.”

This one sentence contains a bundle of suggestions in a friendly manner. The US and the EU should understand that India may not have signed the condemnation resolution against Russia, but she has used its goodwill to impress upon Putin that war is no solution to any problem.

He repeated that dialogue, diplomacy, and democracy are the catchwords with the younger society of contemporary times. Indirectly, Modi told Putin that the option of dialogue with the Ukrainian authorities was the right option for tackling the recalcitrant Ukrainian authorities.

Can Coal Propel Hypersonic Flights? Chinese Scientists Claim ‘Big Discovery’ In Cutting Costs For Mach 5+ Travel

Can Coal Propel Hypersonic Flights? Chinese Scientists Claim ‘Big Discovery’ In Cutting Costs For Mach 5+ Travel

Chinese researchers recently claimed that by using an air-breathing engine that burns a mixture of ethylene and coal powder, they could significantly reduce the cost of commercial hypersonic flight.

The researchers reported their findings in a paper that appeared in the peer-reviewed Acta Armamentarii journal’s September 15 issue. In one ground test, an experimental device produced shocks traveling at more than 2km per second, or six times the speed of sound, by using the inexpensive mixture.

“Coal powder’s high energy density, safety, and low price give it a unique advantage when used as an engine fuel,” said the team led by Professor Weng Chunsheng at Nanjing University of Science and Technology’s national key laboratory of transient physics.

One of the most common byproducts of oil refineries is ethylene, and coal currently makes up the largest portion of China’s electricity generation. However, it is pertinent to note that China earlier went through an energy crisis due to a shortage of coal, a situation which has now been reversed.

The report, as aspirational as it is, does not mention China’s decision to cut the consumption of coal to reduce emissions. Chinese President Xi Jinping promised last year to strictly control coal use and start reducing it in 2026 to peak the country’s emissions of greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2) before 2030.

That being said, experts have emphasized that the global economic slowdown might not allow China to phase out coal as pledged by the President. Against that backdrop, the claims made by Chinese scientists become significant.

Beijing-based scientists had earlier claimed that China was developing a hypersonic aircraft capable of transporting passengers anywhere in the world in less than an hour, as previously reported by EurAsian Times.

Another set of claims said that the aircraft would cut travel time from Shanghai to New York by 12 hours.

So, the vehicle can either go long or use smaller fuel storage. Use of this fuel mix can be aimed at reducing costs as well as substituting limited resources with a more ubiquitous fuel.”

The idea of using coal to power hypersonic flight was first put up roughly ten years ago by Russian Academy of Sciences researchers, who also demonstrated that shocks could be produced using a coal powder and hydrogen mixture.

US research teams conducted additional research and developed a few physical models to describe the complex system. Researchers in several nations, including China, are looking at alternative energy sources to fuel future hypersonic travel business.

Besides China, the US is also developing hypersonic aircraft. Hypersonic planes have been on the priority list of the US military for quite a while now. Lockheed Martin’s SR-71 Blackbird was the fastest fighter aircraft ever built.

Taliban situation triggers debate on India's airbase in Tajikistan

Taliban situation triggers debate on India's airbase in Tajikistan

About two years after the Indian Airlines plane hijack incident of 1999, India came up with what is loosely called the Ayni Project to open its first airbase outside the country. It is in Tajikistan, in the neighbourhood of Afghanistan. The Pakistani terrorists had hijacked the plane and taken it to safety under the previous Taliban regime.

In 2002, the Ayni Project began as a collaborative effort between the external affairs ministry and the security-intelligence establishment. Over the years, it developed into an Indian Air Force (IAF) base, known as Gissar Military Aerodrome (GMA).

It is located in a village called Ayni, not far from Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe. India and Tajikistan jointly manage it.

With protests erupting in Afghanistan against the Taliban-Pakistan combine, social media is abuzz with suggestions that India should use its airbase in Tajikistan for humanitarian help if not to push back Pakistan.

Amitabh Mattoo, Padma Shri awardee Professor of International Relations at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, wrote on Twitter complaining that India chose "to abandon our allies" despite having the capacity to "access Mazar-i-Sharif within minutes". He called it "a shame".

Putin Has ‘Half A Million’ People At Disposal To Fight Ukraine As Russia Opens Floodgates To Recruit Foreign Soldiers

Putin Has ‘Half A Million’ People At Disposal To Fight Ukraine As Russia Opens Floodgates To Recruit Foreign Soldiers

In a pre-recorded televised announcement, the Russian leader said that the West aims to destroy Russia and that it has turned Ukrainian people into cannon fodder.

Furthermore, Putin alleged that the West is engaging in “nuclear blackmail,” noting that some high-ranking representatives of the leading NATO member countries have made remarks about the possibility of using nuclear weapons against Russia.

To those who allow themselves such statements regarding Russia, I want to remind you that our country also has various means of destruction, and for separate components and more modern than those of Nato countries and when the territorial integrity of our country is threatened, to protect Russia and our people, we will certainly use all the means at our disposal,” Putin said.

“It’s not a bluff,” he further added.

As for the partial mobilization, he said, “We are talking about partial mobilization, that is, only citizens who are currently in reserve will be subject to conscription, and above all, those who served in the armed forces have a certain military specialty and relevant experience.”

Following Putin’s address, the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu provided more detail, saying the partial mobilization would involve drafting 300,000 additional personnel for the Russian military campaign in Ukraine.

Manpower Shortage Mires Russia’s Campaign

The announcement of partial mobilization by the Russian President has come after Ukraine’s successful counter-offensive in the Kharkiv region, which forced the Russian forces to withdraw, highlighting Moscow’s major shortcoming in Ukraine – lack of manpower.

According to experts, while Russia has the manpower to capture individual cities, it is not sufficient to occupy the entirety of Ukraine or even the eastern Donbas region.

The Kharkiv region has a sizeable Russian-speaking population; therefore, its loss is seen as a significant blow to the Russian military campaign in Ukraine.

Moscow must certainly not want to see the loss suffered in Kharkiv repeating in other Russian-held areas, such as Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia, especially at a time when Russian-installed officials in these areas are set to have referendums to join Russia.

Where Does Russia Recruit Its Soldiers?

Currently, the number of migrants in Russia is around six million people. Every year, this number varies from nine to eleven million, of which more than 80 percent of migrant workers come from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Central Asian Bureau for Analytical Reporting (CABAR) of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR), migrants are willing to join the Russian Army due to the promise of good payment and Russian citizenship.

For example, a Kyrgyzstani national who has been living in Moscow for four years and not planning to return to his homeland told CABAR that he is willing to join the Russian war effort in Ukraine to obtain Russian citizenship, as he is a convict in his native country and no one will offer him a good job.
