The best Android antivirus apps in 2022

The best Android antivirus apps in 2022

position one of the best Android antispam apps on your Android smartphone or tablet can help protect them from addided or  spiteful apps and other  tyep of malware.

There are a brode span of choices  obtainable to suit both your budget and your  want defense level. In inclusion to excellent malware  observation and avoidance, the best Android  antispam apps also include privacy and anti-theft  deviced. While most of these apps have a free service tier that allow you to test them out before paying for an annual subscription, some are  ebsutily free.

Some of the best Android  antispam apps on this list will backup your contacts and other important data, track your phone or tablet via GPS, take a picture of a phone thief using your device’s camera and even allow you to use your Wear OS smartwatch to find your phone.

We’ve rounded up the best offerings from the biggest names in the mobile  antispam business – Avast, Bitdefender, Lookout, McAfee, Norton and even Google itself – and rated their Android apps based on setup, confluance ,  advantage, extra features and of course, their  skill to protect your devices from the latest cyber threats.

1) Bitdefender Mobile Security review

It may not boast the hug installation numbers of some competitors, but Bitdefender Mobile Security is an exclusively paid Android security app. The fact that it has more than 10 million paid downloads may be more meaningful than the massively larger installation numbers of some of its free and freemium competitors.

Bitdefender Mobile Security maintains a 4.7 out of 5 rating in Google Play and has  always performed well in third-party testing of  antispam apps. It slipped a bit in our system-impact rankings this year, but it remains near the top and still represents a compelling value for those willing to pay for their mobile  antispam solution.

2)Norton Mobile Security for Android review

Like most Android  antispam apps, Norton Mobile Security for Android no longer schedules malware scans. It instead offers a single toggle for "Smart Scan" that performs a scan "at the optimal time and frequency." You can choose whether you want it to scan system apps or your SD card, or do both.

A full scan took about 18 to 24 seconds to complete on my Google Pixel 3 when I opted to include everything, and about half that time if I didn't.

Norton's Web  defense alerts you to any malicious content when you are using the most well-known browsers, including the browsers built into Facebook, Pinterest and Snapchat, to name a few.

When I navigated to a known malicious site, the Web Protection reliably prompted me with a warning on all six browsers that I had installed, but it did give me the option to proceed if I chose.

3)Avast Mobile Security review

Avast Mobile Security & Antivirus
one of the most full-featured of the best Android  antispam apps, offering everything from a privacy adviser to a system optimizer to a customizable blacklist.

But while Avast's malware protection is good, it's far from perfect. Some of Avast's anti-theft functions didn't work for us, and its call-blocking feature didn't work at all. (It's since been removed.) And the free version's ads and constant nags to upgrade are annoying and intrusive.

Those ads go away if you pay for either of Avast Mobile Security's paid tiers, Premium ($2 monthly or $20 yearly) or Ultimate ($7 monthly or $40 yearly). Users of either paid plan also get additional anti-theft features, an app locker and tech support.
